About the Role
Field worker with travel up to 20 miles from home.
NISRA Survey Interviewers conduct surveys with members of the public, in their homes or by telephone.
We regularly recruit and if you are personable and confident when meeting new people, have a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence, and want to earn money whilst impacting public policy - then this is the role for you.
You will get to speak to a wide variety of people each day and a key part of the role is being personable, showing people why spending a little bit of their time to take part is worthwhile.
We will provide you with comprehensive fully-paid training to set you up for success in the role; our training team will support you during your training and field trainers will remain available throughout your time with us to provide ongoing support and guidance.
Addresses invited to participate in our surveys are randomly sampled and interviewers are required in all parts of NI. You will be assigned to an area within 20 miles of your home address.
You will be knocking on people's doors, providing more information about the survey and gaining their agreement to take part. We write to all participants in advance, making them aware of the survey they are being asked to participate in and letting them know that you will be calling.
When you engage with residents, you can also make appointments to call back to conduct the interview by phone at a time that suits the participant and you. By participation, you give people the opportunity to represent others in NI to influence public policy.
This is a flexible role so you will have some control over when you work and how many hours you work each week. However, due to the nature of this work, you will be expected to work some evenings and weekends. This is when you are most likely to make contact with residents at home.
