About NISRA

The Organisation

NISRA is an Agency of the Department of Finance. NISRA is the principal source of official statistics and social research on Northern Ireland. These statistics and research inform public policy and associated debate in the wider society.

Mission Statement:

To produce and disseminate high quality, trusted and meaningful statistics and research to inform decisions and improve understanding; and
To provide a high quality and cost effective civil registration service to meet user needs.

Corporate Plan 2012-15

The NISRA Corporate Plan sets out the Agency’s high level objectives and how these will be delivered. It is set within the context of the Northern Ireland Executive’s Programme for Government and the DoF Corporate Plan. A Corporate Plan for 2019-20 onwards is currently being developed.
