Employment and hours worked

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) uses internationally agreed definitions for employment, unemployment and economic inactivity.

This short paper focuses on those in employment and discusses the variation in hours worked in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic, and during 2020.
