Date published: 29 September 2021

Statistics: Health
Research and support: NISRA-led Research

On 29 September 2021, NISRA published research examining the mental health status of the Northern Ireland population in employment in March 2011.

This study looked in particular at differences in prevalence of poor mental health between occupations and industries. Mental health status was captured using two measures: self-reporting an emotional, psychological or mental health condition, and being prescribed antidepressants, hypnotics or anxiolytics.
