The latest Young People Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) results were published at 9.30am this morning.

Key points

  • In July to September 2024 there were an estimated 16,000 young people (aged 16 to 24) in NI who were not in education, employment or training (NEET).  This was 8.3% of all people aged 16 to 24 years in NI.
  • The NEET rate was 8.3% for males and 8.2% for females.
