Working and workless households in NI: October to December 2024

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) household results were released at 9.30am today.

The most common type of households in October to December 2024 were couples with children (35%), couples with no children (26%), and one person housholds (25%).

Over half (55%) of households in Northern Ireland in October to December 2024 were work rich (all household members aged 16 or over were employed) and 16% were workless (where all household members aged 16 or over were unemployed or inactive).
