Gambling turnover was £170.9 million in 2023

New official statistics published today by NISRA statisticians in the Department for Communities present information on Gambling Licensing and Industry Data for 2024.
Key findings:
- In 2024, there were 112 amusement permits covering 6,410 gaming machines with a maximum £25 payout and 23 amusement permits covering 549 gaming machines with a maximum £8 payout.
- There were 36 bingo club licences operational in 2024.
- In 2024, the number of bookmaking office licences that were operational was 280 and the number of bookmakers’ licences that were operational was 106.
- Gambling turnover was £170.9 million in 2023.
