The 103rd Annual Report of the Registrar General was laid before the Assembly and simultaneously published at 9.30am this morning. It contains information relating to births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships registered with the General Registry Office during the calendar year 2024. It also contains information on stillbirths, adoptions and re-registrations. It is available from the Registrar General Annual Report section of the website.

In 2024....
 

19,416 births, 18,050 deaths, 7,251 marriages, 60 stillbirths, 88 infant deaths, 133 adoptions, 52 civil partnerships


The report and detailed tables are available from the Registrar General Annual Report section of the website.
Hard copies will be available from Vital Statistics Unit and can be requested via demography@nisra.gov.uk.
