Microdata products
A 1% sample of individual records from Census 2021 with no identifying information, available to all for teaching of statistics and social sciences.
Alongside the data, several supporting documents have been provided to help users understand the public microdata teaching sample, including:
- data dictionary – details the variables along with the associated output categories and value labels that have been included for each record in the public microdata teaching sample
- product overview – gives an overview of microdata products, describes the steps taken to ensure that the confidentiality and explains the purpose of providing public microdata teaching sample
Update: A new communal establishments supplement to the Census 2021 public microdata teaching sample is now available, providing a 1% sample of communal establishment residents. The accompanying data dictionary and product overview are also available for download.
