Census 2021 consultative arrangements

Date published: 22 March 2018

Statistics: Census 2021,  Census 2021 background,  Legislation

Working arrangement between Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ireland and NISRA on consultative arrangements for Census 2021.

In September 2020, the Government of Ireland announced the postponement of the Census of Population by one year, rescheduling it to April 2022.

As part of their ongoing collaboration, CSO and NISRA will continue to work together under the terms of their Memorandum of Understanding. This includes the production of a joint Ireland–Northern Ireland census report, which will be published following the completion of both censuses.
