This report sets out the processes and procedures being implemented by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency for the 2021 Census to ensure that the resultant statistics are trustworthy, high quality and of public value.

The report is the first step towards measuring progress against the Code of Practice for Statistics and will form part of the assessment by the Office for Statistics Regulation, the regulatory arm of the UK Statistics Authority, for the designation of National Statistics status to the 2021 Census in Northern Ireland. A similar assessment process is being conducted for the 2021 Census in the rest of the UK.
