Long-Term International Migration Statistics (2020)

In recent years NISRA has collected further information from administrative data sources to assist with the measurement and quality assurance of international migration estimates in Northern Ireland.  The latest detailed tables from these sources are available below and provide a useful point of reference relating to recent changes/trends in international migration for Northern Ireland.

This release includes the following statistical tables:

• Official migration estimates for Northern Ireland (migration flows)
• Administrative data relating to migration into Northern Ireland (inflows)
• Administrative data relating to migration out of Northern Ireland (outflows)
• Administrative data relating to the international population in Northern Ireland
• EU Settlement Scheme data for Northern Ireland (experimental statistics)

The excel workbook 'Long term international migration (2020) - administrative data relating to the international population in Northern Ireland' was updated on 24 September 2021 to include the latest Labour Force Survey estimates. This update relates to tables 4.14 and 4.15 only.
