Marriage Statistics

Correction notice 8 February 2023: An error with marriages was detected where a small number of cases were double counted. The overall total has reduced from 7,962 to 7,921. Revised tables were uploaded on 24 February 2023.     10 March 2023 It was discovered that in the originally published tables for marriages, the values and percentages for 'other denominations' and  'civil marriages' in the table 'Marriages by method of celebration' were transposed for the years 2020 and 2021. It has now been corrected. No other denominations, years or tables were affected by this. We apologise for any inconvenience.
