Agricultural Crime in Northern Ireland Continues to Decline

New official statistics published today by NISRA Statisticians in the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) show that agricultural crime in Northern Ireland has continued its downward trend, with the second-lowest annual figure recorded since data collection began in 2010/11.

Key findings:
- There were 201 agricultural crimes recorded in Northern Ireland during the 2024/25 financial year (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025), a decrease of 7 compared to the previous year.
- 98% of agricultural crime was identified as occurring in rural settlement areas.
- Agricultural crime represented less than 1% of all burglary, robbery and theft offences.
- Six policing districts experienced a decrease in levels of agricultural crime.
