As part of the Productivity Statistics Development Project, NISRA is considering how to improve the range of Northern Ireland productivity metrics to inform users on this important area for economic policy. Our first release is a statistical research paper primarily covering the development of labour productivity statistics for the non-financial business economy in NI. In addition to these new statistics, which are in the early stage of development, the paper provides an explanation of the existing whole-economy labour productivity statistics published by the Office for National Statistics.
