Economic accounts

NISRA publish Annual Accounts which provide a balanced estimate of NI GDP and its component parts using an international standard approach. Recent work has also commenced investigating the development of a set of Quarterly National Accounts for NI.

The Supply-Use tables

The main body of the Supply Table shows the monetary value of the goods and services produced by each industry in NI. The main body of the Use table shows, for each industry, the intermediate consumption of products (IC).

NI Quarterly National Accounts Project

Since October 2025, NISRA has established a dedicated team to investigate and progress a project to develop a set of Quarterly National Accounts (QNAs) for Northern Ireland (NI).

The Analytical Input-Output tables

The Supply-Use Tables are the basis for producing the Input-Output Analytical Tables (IOATs), also known as symmetric Input-Output tables.

NI Economic Accounts Overview

In May 2025, NISRA produced a set of Supply-Use tables (SUTs) for the reference year 2021.
