Information on Census 2021

Taking part in Census 2021

Thank you for taking part in Census 2021.

You can still complete and return the paper form that we sent you previously in the post.

Census 2021 and our other studies and surveys

NISRA is currently carrying out a lot of important work across Northern Ireland. This means you might be contacted by us more than once.

We are carrying out Census 2021, the Census Coverage Survey (CCS) and the Census Quality Survey (CQS), as well as our ongoing business surveys and a range of studies about people, families and households. More information on our surveys can be found on the Selected for a survey page.

No one working on Census 2021 will ever ask you for your bank details or ask for money for taking part. Our staff will carry identification, will be wearing a high-viz vest, be using PPE and follow social-distancing guidelines, and will not enter your house.

By taking part in both Census 2021 and our other studies, you help us build a clear picture of life and the economy in Northern Ireland.
