Northern Ireland: A Century of Change in Statistics

The year 2026 marks a century since the first census of Northern Ireland was conducted on 18 April 1926.

To mark this centenary, a high-level comparison between the 1926 Census and Census 2021 (held on 21 March 2021), has been produced. The report offers insights into how Northern Ireland has evolved over the century.
