Over half of households in Northern Ireland are work rich

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) household results were released at 9.30am today.

The most common type of households in October-December 2025 were couples with children (33%), one person households (27%) and couples with no children (24%).

Over half (55%) of households in Northern Ireland in October-December 2025 were work rich (all household members aged 16 or over were employed) and 15% were workless (where all household members aged 16 or over were unemployed or inactive).
