About My Role

In my role, I support the successful delivery of departmental surveys by ensuring they run smoothly from development through to data collection and processing. A typical day can involve a wide range of activities, including:

  • Updating and modifying survey content to meet evolving departmental requirements.
  • Testing surveys to ensure accuracy, functionality, and a positive user experience.
  • Liaising with post-primary schools scheduled to participate in the survey.
  • Travelling to schools to support pupils as they complete the survey and overseeing onsite data collection.
  • Putting systems and processes in place for coding and editing data once it has been received.
  • Creating and maintaining manuals to ensure the survey process can be replicated reliably.

Software & Tools I Use

I use SPSS for statistical analysis and data processing, Blaise for survey design and implementation. I also use SQL for managing and querying data.
