Seasonally adjusted estimates for the period October - December 2016 showed that there were 847,000 people in employment in Northern Ireland.
It is also estimated that at October - December 2016 the unemployment rate was 5.3%. The seasonally adjusted number of people claiming unemployment benefits stood at 31,600 in January 2017.
In April 2016 the median gross full-time weekly earnings for all employees was £495.
