Seasonally adjusted estimates for the period December – February 2016 showed that there were 834,000 people in employment in Northern Ireland.
It is also estimated that at December – February 2016 the unemployment rate was 6.3%. The seasonally adjusted number of people claiming unemployment benefits stood at 38,600 in March 2016.
In April 2015 the median gross weekly earnings for all employees was £383.
