This bulletin presents findings from a self-completion module on domestic violence contained within the 2001 Northern Ireland Crime Survey. Announces publication of The Detention and Questioning of Young Persons by the Police in Northern Ireland. As well as including an extensive review of relevant literature, a range of both quantitative and qualitative methods were used to conduct the fieldwork for the research, which examines the impact of the police and criminal evidence order 1989 (PACE) at the stage of police questioning.
