16/05/2002 Evaluation of the Young Witness Service
The report describes the findings of an evaluation of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s (NSPCC) Young Witness Service currently operating in the Belfast and Londonderry Crown Courts. The evaluation was conducted in response to the Criminal Justice Review which recommended that publicly funded witness support schemes should be made available at all Crown Court and magistrates’ courts venues and children should be included in such arrangements on a basis determined in the light of the outcome of evaluation of the current pilot scheme.
