Longitudinal Studies using the Census

ESRC Workshop Series

This workshop will include an introduction to the data services offered by Census.ac.uk and is aimed at users studying or working in the UK higher and further education sector, but is not limited to those already registered to use the census.

Changing Ageing Partnership Lunch-time Seminar

Call for applications for Research Funding

Calls for reserach proposals funded under the NILS Responsive Sceme have now closed.

Training

Training on the use of longitudinal data will also be arranged on a demand basis.  It is anticipated that training will be arranged to cover various areas of interest such as:

  • Stata (other analysis software training may be available subject to demand);
  • NILS Data; and
  • General longitudinal analysis.

Launch of the Northern Ireland Longitudinal Study

 

To announce the launch of the NILS, an information morning took place on Friday 8th December 2006 at the Belfast City Hospital, Postgraduate Centre.

 

A series of presentations were given on policy benefits, what the NILS is, how researchers can access the data and available funding.  Also presented were findings from four test research projects which have already been carried out on the datasets to demonstrate the power of the data.
