Update of Northern Ireland Multiple Deprivation Measure 2005
NISRA have commenced work on updating the Northern Ireland Multiple
Deprivation Measure 2005 with meetings of the project Steering Group
and with meetings of statistical domain sub-groups for each of
the individual domains of deprivation.
The first output of the process is
a
consultation document setting out how the measures will be updated.
This document was published on 27th July 2009 and gives users
the opportunity to comment on the content of the updated measures. The consultation process
will end on 6th November 2009.Two public consultation events were held on 22 September 2009 in Omagh and on 30 September 2009 in Lisburn. The presentation
given at these events outlines the indicators, proposed changes
and consultation questions, and is available for download.Please note that at the end of the consultation period all responses will be made publicly available via this website. Respondents should make clear if they wish their name to remain confidential. All respondents should include a brief description of the nature of their organisation and if applicable, the groups whom they represent. Until publication of the final report the NIMDM 2005 remains the official measure of spatial deprivation in Steering Group:
