NISRA Geography

Welcome to the NISRA Geography web pages where you can access and download a range of maps and digital products  that support the use of geography in developing statistics.  

CENTRAL POSTCODE DIRECTORY
The Central Postcode Directory (CPD) is the most popular product available from NISRA Geography. It is however freely available only to all Northern Ireland Mapping Agreement (NIMA) participants or those working on behalf of NIMA participants. It relates both current and terminated postcodes in Northern Ireland to a range of statutory, administrative, electoral and other area geographies. It is supplied in both MS Access and text file formats and comes with a comprehensive guidance document to assist users.

GEOGRAPHY ATLAS
Maps are available to view for various administrative and statistical geographies in N. Ireland.  Click on the interactive map below to view a detailed map or select a different geography from the drop down menu.  Important  Before viewing the maps you will need to download and install an SVG viewer file from the Internet.  Download Adobe SVG Viewer by clicking HERE



The maps are Crown copyright, users are allowed to print out one copy of any map for personal use only, for multiple copies or other uses a licence is required, click to view Terms of use.

The Northern Ireland Neighbourhood Information Service (NINIS) website holds other geography based information. Image files of maps for Health Boards,  Local Government Districts,  Assembly Areas,  Electoral Wards,  Super Output Areas and 2001 Census Output Areas can be downloaded from the NINIS map catalogue.  Locational information, such as hospitals, schools, and bus stops can be downloaded from the NINIS Data Catalogue.
